Description
Turbidity measurement complies with DIN EN 27027 (ISO 7027). No calibration required. If the probe is used to measure solids content, then a one-point calibration is sufficient. For special applications, calibration curves can be defined using several points.
The probes are made of polished stainless steel or titanium with a scratch-resistant sapphire window. They are specially designed to withstand harsh environmental conditions and prevent particles from sticking to surfaces.
Whether tank sidewall, in-line or hygienic fittings are required, the TSS sc family of sensors have the right mounting solutions (see pic. 7).
The principle of operation of industrial turbidity sensors TSS sc
The TSS sc sensors are equipped with a dual optical system with two pulsed infrared LEDs and four receivers. Because the transmitted light is scattered, the receivers capture the incident light at 90° and 120°, thereby doubling the accuracy of the instrument. An eight-channel measuring system with built-in bubbles and temperature compensation software enables a wide measurement range to cover most applications, from very turbid pre-treated water to fresh spring water with a single instrument.
This combined method provides accurate and color independent sample measurements for turbidity ranging from 0.001 to 4000 FNU and suspended solids from 0.001 to 500 g/L.
