Description
LCK014 - reagent kit for determination of COD (Chemical Oxygen Demand) in the range of 1000 - 10000 mg / l O2. Complies with ISO 6060-1989, DIN 38409-H41-H44 standards. The cuvette tests are compatible with Hach DR series spectrophotometers.
Application: waste water, process analysis.
Method description: Oxidizable substances react with sulphuric acid and potassium dichromate solution in the presence of silver sulphate as a catalyst. Chloride is masked by mercury sulphate. The green coloration of Cr3+ is evaluated.
The method can be used for water samples with chloride concentrations of up to 5000 mg/L. Higher chloride concentrations cause high-bias results. The measurement results must be subjected to plausibility checks (dilute and/or spike the sample).
