Hach Solitax sc sensors provide accurate, color-independent measurement of turbidity and suspended solids in drinking water and wastewater. Self-cleaning device (wiper) prevents biological growth and the ingress of gas bubbles. The reliable operation of this system and the possibility of complete data transfer help improve process control.

Several Solitax sc sensors can be installed on one Hach SC controller. The same controller can also support any combination of parameters. All sc Hach probes are "plug and play" and require no complicated wiring or configuration.

The measuring principle is based on a combined infrared absorption scattered light technique that measures the lowest turbidity values in accordance with DIN EN 27027 just as precisely and continuously as high sludge content. Using this method, the light scattered sideways by the turbidity particles is measured over an angle of 90°. The measurement data is displayed and processed with the help of a controller.
