Description
Cuvette test LCK327 for determination of water hardness from the manufacturer Hach. The reagent kit is suitable for use with the DR series spectrophotometers.
Application: for raw water, drinking water, surface water, boiler water and process control.
Parameter: hardness
Method description: Calcium and magnesium ions react with metal phthalein to form a violet dye.
pH / Temperature: The pH of the water sample must be between 4 and 9. The temperature of the water sample and reagents must be between 15–25 ° C (59–77 ° F).
Note: For extremely low magnesium concentrations and high calcium levels, the LCK 326 reagent is preferred for magnesium determination. Calcium and magnesium levels below the measuring range given here (< 1 °dH) can be determined with the Cuvette Test LCK 427 residual hardness.
