Description
LCK1414 - reagent kit for the determination of COD (Chemical Oxygen Demand) in the range of 5 - 60 mg/L O2. Complies with ISO 6060-1989, DIN 38409-H41-H44 standards. The cuvette tests are compatible with Hach DR series spectrophotometers.
Application: Wastewater analysis, process analysis, surface water and cooling water.
Method description: Oxidized substances react with sulfuric acid and potassium dichromate solution in the presence of silver sulfate as a catalyst. Chloride is masked by mercury sulfate. Reduction of the yellow color of Cr6 + is evaluated.
The method can be used for samples (or diluted samples) with chloride concentrations up to 1500 mg/L. In exceptional cases, some wastewater may contain substances for which the oxidative capacity of this test is insufficient. In such cases, we recommend using the LCK 314 test.
