Description
Cuvette test for the determination of carbonate / carbon dioxide LCK388 from Hach.
Application: For waste water, surface water and carbonated drinks.
Description of the method: As a result of the reaction, all carbonates and dissolved carbon dioxide (CO2) are converted into gaseous carbon dioxide (CO2), which passes through the membrane into an indicator cell. The color change of the indicator is measured photometrically.
Note: Never leave the cuvette open as the carbon dioxide content in the ambient air can cause high bias in the results. The cuvettes should only be opened when necessary (for example, to add a sample) and immediately thereafter closed or subjected to further processing. Perform each CO2 determination sequentially to avoid contamination from the ambient air.
