Scope and application: determination of ammonium levels in surface and waste water.
Summary of method: Ammonium ions react at pH 12.6 with hypochlorite ions and salicylate ions in the presence of sodium nitroprusside as a catalyst to form indophenol blue.
According to standard: ISO 7150-1, DIN 38406 E5-1, UNI 11669:2017.
