Description
The test kit can easily determine iron levels in the range 0 - 0,2 mg/L and 0 - 1,0 mg/L. The number of reagents is designed for 100 tests.
How to determine the amount of iron using the Hach test kit IR-24:
- install the adapter in the color comparator box (only if you are testing iron in the range 0 - 0.2 mg/L)
- test in the range of 0 - 0.2 mg/L fill the tube with sample to the upper line, test in the range of 0 - 1.0 mg/L fill the gauge with sample up to the 5 ml.
- put tube on the left side of the color comparator box
- fill the vial to the 25 mg mark with sample
- add FerroZine powder reagent for iron. Swirl to mix.
- wait for 5 minutes until a purple color appears and check the result - after 30 minutes
- fill a second tube to the top line with the prepared sample
- place the test tube in the color comparator box
- hold the comparator box in front of the light. Rotate the color discs (use a color wheel according to the range of the test procedure) until the color match.
- chech the result in mg/L on the scale.
All necessary reagents and equipment are included in a portable case for analysis in the field.
