Comparator / color disc for free and total chlorine, 0,02 - 0,68 mg/L and 0 - 3,4 mg/L Cl2

Description

Single test - kit Hach allows to analyze samples immediately after collection.

Free chlorine results - read immediately after adding a reagent to prevent interference. If the sample contains 3,0 mg/L of monochloramine (NH2Cl), then the result will increase by 0,1 mg/L every minute. Total chlorine results - read within 6 minutes.

These comparator/color disc is for low chlorine measurements. If the test result exceeds the maximum limit, use the mid-range test procedure with a new sample.

The step-by-step testing procedure with the Hach test kit CN - 70 in two ranges:

1. Place the adapter in the color comparator box - if you are testing in the range of 0 - 0,68 mg/L (the adapter shows the color in the tubes from top to bottom, place the light source above the tubes during color matching);
2. Fill the tube with a sample:
   1. to the line in the range of 0 - 0,68 mg/L;
   2. up to 5 ml in the range of 0 - 3,4 mg/L;
   3. Place the test tube - on the left in the color comparator box;
   4. Fill a glass bottle with a sample up to 25 ml;
   5. Add reagent powder (free or total chlorine) and swirl to mix;
   6. For free chlorine - see the result after 1 minute. For total chlorine - wait 3 minutes;
   7. Fill the second tube with ready-made samples:
      • to the upper line in the range of 0 - 0,68 mg/L;
      • up to 5 ml in the range of 0 - 3,4 mg/L;
      • Put the tube in the color comparator box;
      • Keep the color comparator box out in the light. (use sunlight or a desk lamp). Rotate the color discs until the colors match. If the color is between two segments, use the value in the middle of the two segments;
   8. Compare the results in the scale:
      • in the range 0 - 0,68 mg/L - divide the result by 5 to get in mg/L.
