Description
Single test - kit Hach allows to analyze samples immediately after collection.
Free chlorine results - read immediately after adding a reagent to prevent interference. If the sample contains 3,0 mg/L of monochloramine (NH2Cl), then the result will increase by 0,1 mg/L every minute. Total chlorine results - read within 6 minutes.
This comparator/color disc is for low chlorine measurements. If the test result exceeds the maximum limit, use the mid-range test procedure with a new sample.
The step-by-step testing procedure with the Hach test kit CN - 66:
- Fill the tube with a sample up to 5 ml;
- Place the tube - on the left in the color comparator box;
- Add reagent powder (free or total chlorine);
- Swirl to mix until pink color appears;
- For free chlorine - see the result after 1 minute. For total chlorine - wait 3 minutes;
- Put the tube in the color comparator box;
- Keep the color comparator box out in the light. (use sunlight or a desk lamp). Rotate the color discs until the colors match. If the color is between two segments, use the value in the middle of the two segments;
- Compare the results in the scale in mg/L.
