Description
Using the test kit, you can easily determine the iron level in a water sample in the range from 0.02 to 1.00 mg/L Fe. The amount of reagents is designed for 100 tests.
How to determine the amount of iron using the Hach test kit IR-18А:
- Install the longpath adapter in the color comparator box.
- Fill a tube to the top line with sample.
- Put the tube into the left opening of the color comparator box.
- Fill a second tube to the top line with sample.
- Add one FerroVer Iron Reagent Powder Pillow.
- Put a cap on the tube and invert to mix. Remove the cap.
- Wait 2 minutes. Read the result within 5 minutes. An orange color develops.
- Put the second tube into the color comparator box.
- Hold the color comparator box below a light source. Turn the color disc to find the color match.
- Read the result in mg/L in the scale window.
