Description
The sampling line transfers the sample to the analyzer. The analyzer uses pumps, valves, and syringes to move the sample and reagents into a measuring cell on the analytical panel. When the measurement cycle is complete, the analyzer removes the sample through the drain line. The analysis results are displayed on the data processing panel display. The data processing panel controls and configures the analyzer. It also stores analyzer data (such as trends, alarms, analysis results, and data log files).

Description of methods for the determination of ammonium
EZ1002: determination of ammonium concentration in water is based on the reaction of ammonium ions with hypochlorite and thymol component in a highly alkaline medium (pH > 10) with the formation of a green complex. Absorbance is measured at 630 nm. Sodium nitroprusside is added as a catalyst to speed up the reaction. Sodium tartrate is added to prevent the precipitation of the metal hydroxide.
EZ1003: determination of ammonium concentration in water is based on the reaction of ammonia with potassium mercury iodide from Nessler's reagent in an alkaline medium to form a yellow-brown complex. Absorbance is measured at 450 nm.
The analysis vessel is cleaned and filled with fresh sample. After sampling, the initial absorbance is measured at 630/450 nm. The reagents are then added, after stirring to obtain full color development, the final absorbance value is determined. The obtained values of optical density are used to calculate the concentration of ammonium in accordance with Lambert Beer's law.
