Description
Ammonium is one of the key parameters in wastewater treatment plants. The ability to reliably record and manage this parameter plays an important role in the efficient management of the wastewater treatment process.
The A-ISE industrial ammonium sensor performs continuous measurements directly in the medium. Thanks to the ion selective electrode technology, there is no need for reagents or sample preparation. As the concentration of ammonium NH4-N in wastewater can be measured during the actual process it reduces downtime, costs and maintenance time.
The only serviceable part of the sensor is a cartridge (LZY694) containing an ammonium, potassium electrode (compensation) and a temperature sensor. Cartrical plus technology simplifies cartridge installation and replacement. The compact cartridges are calibrated at the factory using special standard solutions, so no maintenance is required on the cartridge itself. The factory-calibrated sensor code is automatically transferred to the system. This provides reliable measured values and significantly reduces maintenance time and costs compared to conventional ion selective sensors. Replacing the cartridge is simple: unscrew the old cartridge, insert the new one, and the sensor is ready for use again. The membranes of the electrodes sensitive to ammonium ions are reliably protected; therefore, the cartridge needs to be replaced only once a year.
