NITRATAX sc series immersion nitrate sensors

Description

The Hach Nitratax sc family includes digital optical sensors for highly accurate and continuous determination of nitrate concentration directly in the medium. Nitratax sc nitrate sensors offer a high degree of accuracy through direct measurement of UV light and are ideal for monitoring statutory nitrate concentration limits in wastewater.

Nitrate ions dissolved in water absorb UV light with a wavelength of less than 250 nm. This absorption allows the determination of the nitrate concentration photometrically without the use of reagents. Since the measuring principle is based solely on the evaluation of UV light, the color of the medium to be analyzed is irrelevant.

The sensor is designed with a turbidity compensated dual-beam absorption photometer and built-in cleaning system using proven self-cleaning technology for measurements even in environments containing suspended solids such as aerotanks.

The measured value is displayed on the controller as mg/L NOx-N. Various modes of operation of the relay outputs allow configuration without further processing of the received data. The sensor is designed to be installed directly in the environment (on site) or in a bypass.
