The N-ISE sc immersion sensor is designed for continuous determination of nitrate concentration 0 - 1000 mg/l NO3-N in wastewater. It works without reagents and does not require further sample processing. Measurements are carried out directly in the medium using an ion-selective electrode sensitive to NO3- nitrate ions.
Delivery set: sensor, cartridge, user manual.
An SC series digital controller is required for power supply, data transmission and processing (available to order separately).

Description
Determining the concentration of nitrates is critical to effectively control the nitrification process and addition of exactly the right amount of carbon. The N-ISE sc submersible sensor contains ion-selective electrodes for continuous measurements in the tank. No reagents or sample preparation required. The automatic compensation for chloride influences is a big advantage. The built-in pHD reference element ensures long-term stability of the measured values.
The only replacement part of the sensor is the cartridge (order number LZY694). The sensor cartridge consists of:
- ion-selective electrodes for nitrate and chloride (compensation electrode for nitrate - cross-sensitivity between nitrate and chloride is automatically eliminated)
- pHD reference system
- temperature sensor
The electrodes are perfectly calibrated at the factory. If necessary, matrix correction can be performed at any time. The compact CARTRICAL plus cartridge replaces the usual three separate electrodes and maximizes ease of use. The compact cartridge eliminates the tedious handling and calibration of individual electrodes: just remove the old cartridge and insert a new one. After replacing the cartridge, the probe is immediately ready for use. The manufacturer recommends replacing the cartridge only once a year. An optional cleaning unit for automatic cleaning of the sensor cartridge membranes can be ordered separately.
The low cost of the N-ISE sc sensor makes it possible to reliably measure the concentration of nitrates even in small and medium-sized wastewater treatment plants.
