HI7061L is a general purpose cleaning solution for use with pH and ORP electrodes.
Cleaning is a quick and effective procedure that should be performed on a regular basis as a preventive measure to prolong the life of the sensor and to ensure that the connection is not clogged. Simply immersing the electrode in the HI7061L cleaning solution for 15-20 minutes will dissolve any mineral deposits or other coatings.

Hanna HI7061L Universal Cleaning Solution for cleaning pH electrodes and ORP sensors
The electrodes can become dirty in use and will give inaccurate results even if they read correctly when immersed in pH buffer. Hanna cleaning solutions remove dirt and residues that remain on the surface of electrodes when immersed in samples during measurement or improperly stored. It is recommended that you clean the bulb and connection of your electrode regularly to keep it clean and to prevent clogging of the connection.
The most common cause of inaccurate pH measurement is a dirty or improperly cleaned electrode. This is very important to note because during calibration the instrument assumes that the electrode is clean and that the standardization curve created during the calibration process will remain a valid reference until the next calibration. If the mV offset continues to deviate and the instrument is calibrated with a dirty electrode, this will result in inaccurate readings.
