Test kit, CN-HRDT (2687100) from Hach. This kit is used for the determination of hypochlorite in high range solutions (bleach).
Range: 5 - 15% = 50 - 150 g / l Cl2.
Summary of Method: Under acidic conditions, hypochlorite reacts with iodide to produce an equivalent amount of triiodide (I3–). The released I3– is titrated with standard thiosulfate solution to a colorless end point. The number of digits of thiosulfate required is proportional to the hypochlorite concentration in the original bleach sample.
