Hach LCS028 Pre-Dosed Silica acid (high range) Test Kit for use with DR Series Spectrophotometers.
Parameter: Silicic acid
Applications: For boiler and drinking water.
Description of the method: In an acidic solution, dissolved silicic acid or silicates react with ammonium molybdate to form yellow silico molybdic acid. If a reducing agent is added, a blue dye is formed.
The pH of the water sample should be between 3 and 10.
The temperature of the water sample and reagents should be between 15–25 ° C (59–77 ° F).
Special Notes: test requires LCW906 round cuvette.
