  • Process water: boilers and cooling systems, food and beverages.
  • Waste and recyclable water

Description

Description

The CL10sc Series Reagent-Free Chlorine Analyzers provide real-time monitoring of disinfection processes, providing continuous readings of free or total chlorine levels, indicating changing water treatment conditions. The measuring range from 0 to 20 ppm provides process control in a wide range of applications where water disinfection and decontamination takes place.

CL10sc sensors are equipped with a self-diagnostic system to warn of changes in the process or the need to service the device. Diagnostic features include pH and chlorine calibration deviations warning, and a non-contact flow sensor to indicate insufficient sample flow. Measuring free or total chlorine with the CL10sc amperometric analyzer requires no reagents, eliminating the need for routine reagent replanishment and waste management.

The sensor should be installed in an accessible place. It can be installed on a flat vertical surface (such as a wall, panel, stand, etc.). It must provide access for any inspection or maintenance. The sample flow rate must meet the specifications below.

When ordering a sensor, specify the part number

The package includes a CL10sc series sensor, a 1m digital extension cable, a pH sensor depending on the model, and a user manual.

Principle of operation

Amperometry is an electrochemical method that measures the change in current as a result of chemical reactions occurring at the electrodes. The generated current is proportional to the analyte concentration. A typical amperometric sensor consists of two dissimilar electrodes; anode and cathode (i.e. silver / platinum or copper / gold, respectively).

Typically, the electrodes are covered with a membrane cover containing an electrolyte, which provides the best selectivity of the assay. In addition, a small, constant voltage is applied to the electrodes.

In a three-electrode amperometric system, such as used in the CLT10 sc and CLF10 sc analyzers, the anode is substantially split into two parts; reference and auxiliary (or counter) electrode. These systems are always supported by a dedicated electrical circuit that supplies voltage between all electrodes. The three-electrode design usually makes measurements more stable and extends the life of the working and reference electrodes.

CL17sc Colorimetric Chlorine Analyzer, Ultra Low Range 0.008 - 5.0 mg/L Cl2

CL17sc Colorimetric Chlorine Analyzer, Ultra Low Range 0.008 - 5.0 mg/L Cl2

The CL17sc analyzer is best suited for pure water, which measures either the presence of chlorine in small quantities or its absence. It measures the total chlorine concentration from 0.008 to 5.0 mg/l. If your processes include reverse osmosis membranes or any form of dechlorination such as chemical (eg sulfite/bisulfite) and/or adsorptive (eg activated carbon), then the ultra-low detection range CL17sc can be used to monitor the presence of chlorine at very low levels or its complete absence, depending on the needs of your process and equipment.
