Description

Test Procedure - Alkalinity, Total (0 - 8470 mg/L CaCO3)

Fill the volumetric tube with sample.
Transfer the sample to a mixing container.
Add one packet of indicator reagent (94399). Rotate to mix.
Add a standard sulfuric acid solution (212132) dropwise. Stir after each drop. Count the drops until the color changes from green to pink.
To get the total alkalinity (methyl orange) in mg/L CaCO3, multiply the number of drops by 385.
