Description
Approximately 60 µl of the cell sample is loaded into a cassette, where the suspension dissolves and mixes with propidium iodide, which results in staining of the nuclei of dead cells. PI Cassettes ™ can be used for viability determination and cell counting in combination with Solution 10 (lysis buffer) for mammalian cell assay or Y100 reagent for yeast cell assay. The cells are then analyzed on a NucleoCounter® NC-3000 ™.
