Description
AllerFlow Gluten Swab Tests are designed to analyze residual gluten content on surfaces in food and beverage industries. The ALF-GL kit consists of a sample collection swab and individually packaged test cassettes. AllerFlow Gluten tests are sensitive to wheat, barley, rye, and oat gluten and do not cross-react with soy, rice, or corn.
Performing a surface gluten test in two easy steps:
- Sample Collection: A wash is collected with a swab (over an area of 10 x 10 cm), followed by activation of the test according to the instructions.
- Transferring the sample to the test cassette: Invert the tube and pour liquid into the sample fill well until the cavity is full. Leave the cassette on a horizontal surface for 10 minutes.
Interpretation of the results obtained: the unit of measure for AllerFlow gluten is µg/100 cm2 (10 cm x 10 cm) or µg/swab. AllerFlow Gluten is sensitive to 5 µg/swab (5 ppm*) of gluten and results are available in as little as 10 minutes. If the sample contains 5 ppm or more of gluten, a red line will appear on the cassette.
