Whatman Grade 1 Qualitative Filter Papers are the most widely used filters for routine laboratory testing, qualitative analytical separations and liquid clarification. This is a standard cellulose filter paper for medium flow rates.
- Qualitative analytical separation of precipitates such as lead sulfate, calcium oxalate (hot) and calcium carbonate.
- Soil and seed analysis.
- Industrial food processing methods for extracting liquid or separating solid foods from associated liquid.
- Monitoring air pollution by collecting atmospheric dust from the air stream and photometrically measuring the intensity of staining.
- Gas detection by optical reflection quantitative chromogenesis.
