The main characteristic that determines the durability and corrosion protection of any coating of industrial products is the strength of the coating during deformation of products.
Eriksen's method is based on measuring the depth of extrusion of a coated metal plate at the moment of its destruction when a spherical punch is pressed in. In the process of extrusion of a metal plate, static loads are simulated acting on the coating during its operation.
The built-in gearbox in the cupping test SP4400 minimizes the manual force required to deform the test panel, allowing smooth deformation. The degree of deformation is displayed digitally with a resolution of 0.01 mm.
