Description

The NucleoCounter NC-3000 System allows the user to perform automatic cell counting and analysis of a wide variety of eukaryotic cells.

Used in conjunction with the NucleoCounter NC-3000 laboratory analyzer, NC Slides and Solution 13 facilitate the determination of viability and concentration of cell suspensions by measuring the number of cells (total and non-viable). NC Slide A2 allows you to measure 2 cell samples simultaneously with a high degree of accuracy, while NC Slide A8 allows you to measure up to 8 samples simultaneously with moderate accuracy. The analysis takes 3 minutes.

To determine the viability and concentration of cells, a sample containing cells in suspension is mixed with Solution 13 and loaded into the NC Slide. Solution 13 contains two different dyes: acridine orange, which stains the entire population of cells, and DAPI, which stains non-viable cells, respectively. After loading, the slide is placed in the NucleoCounter NC-3000, where the concentration and viability of the cells are determined. The nominal depth of the NC Slide chambers is 100 microns, with 90% of all chambers ranging from 90 to 110 microns. If higher cell counting accuracy is required, we recommend using a volume calibrated Via1 cassette.
