Set for determining the total hardness of water. Suitable for the Titralab AT1000 series of automatic titrators, models AT1112, AT1122 and AT1222.
Hach Titrator Kits contain all the elements except reagents so that each user can set up and run their tests quickly and easily. Each kit is specially designed for unique parameters to provide accurate and reproducible measurements.
Photocolorimetric method for determination of total water hardness (ISO 6059-1984 (F))
Colorimetric titration is the sum of the concentrations of calcium and magnesium ions using the disodium ethylenediamine tetraacetate titrant (Na2EDTA). This method is applicable to drinking, surface and industrial wastewater with a minimum level of 0.05 mmol / L (5 mg / L for CaCO3) up to 8 mmol / L (800 mg / L for CaCO3).
The method is not applicable to water and wastewater with a high salt concentration such as sea water.
