Single parameter test - kit Hach uses the proven EPA-approved DPD method to monitor chlorine dioxide concentration while eliminating chlorine effects by adding glycine. Using the kit, the adjustable limit of 0.8 mg/L can be precisely controlled.
For more accurate readings, analyze samples immediately after collection.
Step-by-step use of the Hach test kit CLD-2:
- fill two tubes with sample up to 5 ml line;
- place one tube on the left side of the color comparator box;
- add two drops of glycine reagent to the second tube. It removes 6 mg/L chlorine from the sample;
- swirl to mix;
- add one DPD powder for free chlorine to the same tube;
- swirl to mix, until a pink color appears;
- place the second tube in the color comparator box;
- hold the color comparator box in front of the light source. Use sunlight or a lamp as the light source. Rotate the color discs until you find a color match, if the color matches between two segments, use the value in the middle of the two segments;
- check the result in mg /L on the scale.
