Description

Description

Rugged, waterproof (IP67) construction withstands any conditions you encounter in the field or laboratory, while providing years of reliable and accurate measurements. Simple, intuitive controls reduce potential errors by ensuring accurate measurement data you can trust, time after time. The large, backlit display makes it easy to read measurements in all conditions.

Analysis of the water sample for chlorine dioxide should be carried out immediately after sampling; do not preserve the sample for further analysis. The test must be performed in the cuvette supplied with the colorimeter and specified in the working procedure document. Before each analysis, make sure the cuvette is clean and free of scratches, especially where light passes through. Rinse the cuvette and lid with sample three times before filling.

Make sure there are no fingerprints or liquid droplets on the outside of the sample cuvette. Wipe the cuvette with a lint-free cloth before measuring. Cold water can cause condensation on the cuvette or bubbles during color development. Examine it for condensation or bubbles. Remove condensation with a lint-free cloth and / or invert to remove bubbles.

General description of the method: Chlorine dioxide reacts with DPD (N, N-diethyl-p-phenylenediamine) within one fifth of its total available chlorine content, which corresponds to the reduction of chlorine dioxide to chlorite. A pink color is formed, the intensity of which is proportional to the concentration of chlorine dioxide in the sample. Chlorine interference is eliminated by the addition of glycine, which converts free chlorine to chloraminoacetic acid but does not affect chlorine dioxide.
