Since the ORP response of an electrode can deteriorate over time, it is necessary to calibrate it using standard solutions.
At 25 ° C, the ORP of Light's solution is approximately 470 mV (± 3 mV) when measured with an Ag / AgCl electrode.
For accurate sample measurements, compare the ORP reading of the electrode with the standard solution. With the correct operation of the ORP meter and electrode, the value should be within ± 10 mV.
