Description
The PreSens flow cell is divided into two chambers, each with two connections. The top of the chamber includes an optical oxygen sensor.
Depending on the material being tested, the OTR-PSt3 for the high oxygen range, the OTR-PSt6 for the mid range or the OTR-PSt9 for the low range can be used.
The test material is fixed between these two chambers. Both chambers can then be independently filled with gas or liquid. An oxygen-free environment is created in the upper chamber, while the lower chamber is filled with an oxygen-rich environment.
Thus, the rate of oxygen transfer through the material can be determined using an oxygen sensor in the upper chamber.
