The active layer is excited by blue light and its red glow is determined. In the presence of oxygen, the rate of decay of luminescence and the phase shift change, which directly depend on the partial pressure of oxygen. LDO technology eliminates traditional membranes and electrolyte. The absence of membranes and the need for electrolyte replenishment significantly reduces the time for sensor maintenance. To ensure quality and timely service, a reminder is programmed in the instrument that indicates the planned annual service and recalibration.

Thanks to the optimized electronics and optics of the sensor, it needs to be calibrated once a year. The Hach Orbisphere 3100 Oximeter delivers accurate measurements, making it the most stable oxygen meter with the longest calibration interval in the industry.

Hach Orbisphere 3100 provides a high level of data fidelity through the use of a USB port. The instrument can collect data for specific measuring points or continuously monitor the process, recording up to 5700 measurements as a remote data logger. An internal alarm system allows operators to instantly see which production processes are out of range.
