Reagent Set Powder Pillows reagents (2603300) for the determination of Copper from Hach.

Аpplication: For water, wastewater and seawater.

The reagents are hermetically sealed in foil sachets, which provides them with a long shelf life. The reagent is simply poured into the measuring cuvette along with the sample. The analysis is carried out visually, for example using a color disc or with a HACH LANGE photometer.

Summary of method: The porphyrin method is very sensitive to trace amounts of free copper. The method is free from most interferences and does not require any sample extraction or concentration before analysis. Interferences from other metals are removed with the copper masking reagent. The porphyrin indicator forms an intense, yellow-colored complex with any free copper present in sample. The measurement wavelength is 425 nm for spectrophotometers or 420 nm for colorimeters.
