Description
Reagent Set Powder Pillows reagents (2459100) for the determination of Potassium from Hach.
Аpplication: For water, wastewater and seawater.
The reagents are hermetically sealed in foil sachets, which provides them with a long shelf life. The reagent is simply poured into the measuring cuvette along with the sample. The analysis is carried out visually, for example using a color disc or with a HACH LANGE photometer.
Set includes: Potassium 1 Reagent Powder Pillows (1432198), Potassium 2 Reagent Solution Pillows (1432298), Potassium 3 Reagent Powder Pillows (1432399).
Summary of method: Potassium in the sample reacts with sodium tetraphenylborate to form potassium tetraphenylborate, an insoluble white solid. The amount of turbidity produced is proportional to the potassium concentration. The measurement wavelength is 650 nm for spectrophotometers or 610 nm for colorimeters.
