Enclosure Construction: PC / ABS blended plastic

Description

Description

360 ° x 90 ° technology

The TU5 series of turbidimeters has patented optical technology that allows you to see a larger sample volume than with any other turbidimeter, providing better accuracy and sensitivity in the low range.

Comparison of laboratory and online results

Eliminates uncertainty about which measurement to trust with 360° x 90° technology in both instruments.

Time saving

The TU5 series reduces the time required to measure turbidity. This is all thanks to a 98% reduction in sample surface area that needs to be cleaned, sealed calibration vials, and the elimination of the need to use silicone oil. Not to mention, a smaller in-line sample means you'll see deviations almost immediately.

Measuring principle

The TU5 Series turbidity meters measure turbidity by aiming a laser at the sample to scatter suspended particles. Light that is scattered at a 90° angle from the incident beam is reflected by a conical mirror surrounding the sample through 360° and then strikes the detector.

The amount of scattered light is proportional to the turbidity of the sample. If the turbidity of the sample is negligible, a small amount of light will be scattered and detected by the photocell, in which case the turbidity reading will be low. High levels of turbidity will cause strong light scattering and result in high readings.

The TU5 Series 360° x 90° optical system is optimized for high accuracy at low turbidity and therefore the TU5 does not include Ratio technology. This technology is only applicable for applications with high turbidity values, in which the influence of color and large particles is present.
