The DR/Check kit contains four vials (25 mm glass cuvettes) filled with gels at increasing Absorbance values: blank and three absorbance standards.
Used to check the response of a colorimeter or spectrophotometer regardless of sample parameters or chemical composition at specific wavelengths: 420, 520, 560 and 610 nm.
Compatible with any colorimeter or spectrophotometer that can accommodate a 25mm round cuvette and read the four wavelengths indicated.
Shelf life: 16 months upright at room temperature.

Description
The kit is specially designed for use with the DR800 and DR900 colorimeters, but can also be used with any instrument that can read the four wavelengths indicated on the kit box (420, 520, 560 and 610 nm). These standards are the same as standard glass neutral density filters.
When using DR/Check (2763900), use the Absorption mode on your instrument. Set the instrument to a specific wavelength, zero with a blank standard from this kit, and read the absorbance of each of the three standards. The standards are supplied with a certificate stating what the absorption values should be at certain wavelengths.
Periodic measurement of the optical density of the standards from the DR/Check set will ensure that there are no significant changes in the response of the instrument.
It is important to remember that when test results are out of tolerance, this does not indicate a specific problem. Instrument response is a comprehensive measure that encompasses all possible sources of the error. The DR/Check can confirm whether there has been a change in the response of the instrument, but cannot determine the reason for the change.
