Description
Description
pH electrodes with gel electrolyte and built-in temperature sensor are ideal for field analysis as well as routine laboratory measurements. SenTix 41 electrodes are suitable for applications where reliable measured values are required even under the most adverse conditions.
The electrodes require no maintenance other than occasional cleaning and are therefore particularly economical.
Cleaning SenTix 41:
- Remove water soluble contaminants by rinsing with deionized water. Other types of contaminations should be removed as follows, keeping the contact time with detergents as short as possible. To remove grease or oil, the electrode must be washed with water containing household detergent. To clean the electrode from lime and hydroxide deposits, rinse it with citric acid (10% by weight).
- Rinse the electrode with deionized water and soak it in the electrolyte solution for at least 1 hour. Then follow the calibration procedure.
Note: Hydrofluoric acid, hot phosphoric acid and strong alkaline solutions will destroy the glass membrane.
Storage of SenTix 41:
- During short breaks in measurements: Immerse the electrode in electrolyte (KCl 3 mol/l, without Ag+). Before the next measurement, quickly rinse the electrode with the test sample or deionized water.
- Overnight or longer: place a clean electrode in a storage cap filled with electrolyte (KCl 3 mol/L, with no Ag+).
