Hach Application Pack for Bromine Number Determination in Petroleum Distillates and Aliphatic Olefins
Suitable for the Titralab AT1000 series of automatic titrators, models AT1102, AT1112, AT1122 and AT1222.
The method complies with ASTM D1159-07 (2012) - determination of the bromine number of petroleum distillates and aliphatic olefins by an electrometric titration with imposed current.
The bromine number indicates the aliphatic unsaturation present in petroleum samples. The bromine number is simply an indication of the components that react with bromine, and not an indication of the constituents.
The bromine number is expressed in grams of bromine (Br2) capable of reacting with 100 g of the test sample under specified conditions.
