Application pack for the determination of chlorides in water

Suitable for the Titralab AT1000 series of automatic titrators, models AT1112, AT1122 and AT1222.

Method for determination of chlorides in water, based on ISO 9297: 2000

Since tap water, surface water or mineral water contain low concentrations of chlorine ions, the determination of chlorides should be carried out by titration with silver nitrate (AgNO3) as a titrant.

NF ISO 9297 is based on Mohr's method - colorimetric determination of the equivalent point (with silver chromate). Potentiometric equivalent point determination can be used with the same titrant.
