Nylon (PA) filter cloth has the highest abrasion resistance of three other commonly used filter cloths including polypropylene, polyester and cotton. Nylon, aka polyamide, is often used in the filtration of abrasive dusts and wet abrasive solids where abrasion resistance is an important factor.
The fabric has the properties of weak acid resistance and alkali resistance. Nylon cloth is very durable with a specific gravity of 1014 g/m2, melting point of 215 - 250 °C and a maximum operating temperature of 130 °C
