KERN & SOHN
Kern & Sohn is a German manufacturer of precision balances and force sensors. The company was founded in 1844 by Gottlieb Kern, and its products are frequently referenced in international scientific publications of the nineteenth century. The business is now run by the sixth generation of the Kern family and is one of only two German companies from the period that have remained family-owned throughout their history. Many of Kern's weights are on display at the Waagenmuseum in Balingen.
